Terms of Service

1. Services

LaunchPad Books provides professional self-publishing services including manuscript editing, cover design, book formatting, and distribution setup. Our services help authors prepare and publish their books; we do not guarantee specific sales results, Amazon acceptance, or commercial success.

2. Service Agreement

Before any payment is processed, clients must digitally sign a service agreement that outlines specific deliverables, timelines, revision limits, and payment terms. No work begins without a signed agreement.

3. Intellectual Property

You retain 100% ownership of your manuscript, story, characters, and all intellectual property at all times. LaunchPad Books does not claim any rights to your work. Cover designs created for your project are licensed exclusively to you upon full payment.

4. Payment Terms

• All prices are in US Dollars (USD)
• Payment is processed securely via Stripe
• Instalment plans are available for packages of $999 and above
• Invoices are generated automatically upon booking

5. Revisions

Each package includes a specified number of revisions as detailed in the service agreement:

• Starter: 1 cover revision, 1 formatting revision
• Professional: 3 cover revisions, 2 formatting revisions
• LaunchPad: Unlimited cover revisions, 3 formatting revisions

Additional revisions beyond the included amount may incur extra charges.

6. Delivery Timeline

Estimated delivery timelines are provided in the service agreement. Timelines begin from the date we receive your completed manuscript and onboarding questionnaire. Delays caused by pending client approval do not count toward delivery time.

7. Satisfaction Guarantee

We guarantee that our cover design work meets professional publishing standards. If you are not satisfied with all 3 initial cover concepts, we will redesign until you are. This guarantee applies to the quality of our work, not to sales performance or market reception.

8. Refund Policy

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Once manuscript processing or design work has begun, partial refunds may be issued for undelivered portions of the service. Full refunds are available only if no work has commenced. Chargebacks filed without first contacting us will be disputed with full documentation.

9. Content Guidelines

We reserve the right to decline projects that contain illegal content, hate speech, or content that violates Amazon KDP's content guidelines. We will notify you promptly if your manuscript falls outside our guidelines.

10. Royalty Estimates

Any royalty calculations, income projections, or earning estimates provided on our website, in marketing materials, or during consultations are illustrative only and based on standard Amazon KDP royalty rates. Individual results vary significantly. We do not guarantee any specific income from book sales.
